_builder_version=&#8221;4.20.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.20.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<h4>You can use the dynamic button to:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>+Make Cloth<\/li>\n<li>+Collision<\/li>\n<li>+Paint Wrinkle Map<\/li>\n<li>+Transform Constraint<\/li>\n<li>+Point to Surface Constraint<\/li>\n<li>+Tear Cloth<\/li>\n<li>+Create Dynamic Wires<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Collision:<\/h3>\n<p>Select a cloth object, followed by the object that you want to use as collision, and then click on the dynamic button.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Cloth:<\/h3>\n<p>If you have poly objects selected, the dynamic button will turn them into cloth, none of the selected objects should already be part of a cloth simulation, or else the objects will turn into collisions for the selected cloth object.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the name of the object, MayaX will try to decide whether it should set it to inflate or simulate it as a single sheet of cloth.<\/p>\n<p>e.g. Flag, sheet, cloth, curtain, dress, shirt, \u2026 will have the default setting without inflating enabled.<\/p>\n<p>Other names, like ball, sphere, cube, cylinder, \u2026 will have to inflate enabled.\u00a0<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=&#8221;1_2,1_2&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.20.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.20.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<p>If you want to make something like a pillow or cushions, you can use the new \u201cCube Smooth\u201d primitive.<\/p>\n<p>You can find Cube Smooth Primitive in the <strong>Toolbox<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This primitive automatically adds division to the longest side of the cube.<\/p>\n<p>You also have a poly smooth Node which you can use to add more division to the cube.<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_2&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<p>Also, make sure to enable \u201cCache Dynamic\u201d in the cache playback preference.<\/p>\n<p>After you make a cloth using the dynamic button, you will see that the timeline will jump to frame 11.<\/p>\n<p>If you select your object now, you will see that it also has a keyframe at frame 1.<\/p>\n<p>This will help you position your cloth in the scene, with a dynamic effect.<\/p>\n<p>So if you move your cloth object toward a wall it will act as if you have pushed it against the wall and cause the cloth object to fold instead of just moving the mesh to that location without any dynamic.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to just move the object to somewhere else without any dynamics, you should do it on frame 1 and set a key on that frame.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_3&#8243;
